It is rumored that it is the center of the ancient world. It is certainly one of the most important archeological sites not only in Greece but in whole Europe. In addition, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that attracts hundreds of hundreds of tourists every year.
Our trip starts at around 07:30-9:00 in the morning when our chauffeur picks you up from your hotel. Driving north from Athens it takes around 2,5 hours to arrive at Delphi with a wonderful ride through valleys and mountains. Arriving at Delphi we pass by Castalia Source (Historic water source from ancient times) and enter the site where the Temple of Apollo is located and so many other attractions such as the Stoa of the Athenians, the Theatre, the Tholos, the Stadium for the Pythian Games, the treasuries, the Altar of the Chians, the Sybil Rock, the Gymnasium, the Hippodrome, the Polygonal Wall, the Athletic Statues etc.
Next, we will visit the new town of Delphi, where we can rest, walk around and have lunch in a local tavern. On the way back we can make a short stop at the nearby picturesque mountain village of Arachova, one of the most famous winter resorts in Greece located on height of 3000 feet.
You will be back at your hotel after 8-9 hours with a wonderful day on your back and a great story to tell.
